For Father's Day, we surprised Rod with the gift of real outdoor cookin'. It hasn't even been a week, and we've experimented with chicken, steak, fish, burgers...we can't get enough! Why didn't we do this forever ago??
Have to add Savannah's enthusiastic reaction to her grilled chicken:
"Wow, Mom! I didn't know food could taste like this!!!"
The kids could hardly wait for Daddy to open his present so they could take over the big box--hours of entertainment!
As a side note, Savannah has been attending summer camp at Hockaday. Here she is on "Dress Like Your Dad Day". So cute! (And yes, the tie she's wearing features Snoopy on the tennis court.)
At camp, Savannah made a Father's Day Card that says:
"My Dad's name is Rod, he is 51. His favorite color is grey. He likes to eat bananas. His favorite sport is tennis. I like it when my daddy colors with me."
(I have to admit, except for the age, she was spot on!)
We are so completely & incredibly blessed to have a Daddy who loves his kids so so so so much. He is just full of fun, enthusiasm, and endless energy. Thanks, Daddy, for being so awesome!

We bought Ben a fancy new Weber for Father's Day too. It;s the perfect gift for father's day.
My kids played in the boxes from our new sofas for two months!
Really, she got Rod's age wrong? He's not 51?
I feel 51 sometimes...
