That's Savannah's latest expression.
Just wanted to write it down before I forgot.
That girl cracks me up.

Happy Hinze Thanksgiving!
We were so excited this year to celebrate Thanskgiving at our home with some of our very favorite friends. We had 10 adults, 11 kids, way too much food, and way too much fun!
My Grandma gave me some beautiful china long ago, but it was stuck in California. My mom mailed it out to me just in time for this festive occasion. I had fun setting the tables!
The kids had fun coloring all over their table

We had SO much amazing food & I regret that I did not get pictures of it all...turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, 2 types of sweet potatoes, 2 types of stuffing, sesame rolls, cornbread, corn on the cob, frog eye salad, fruit salad, green salad, green bean casserole, pumpkin donut holes, 5 different pies...and lots of leftovers!
The one food picture I did get was of my VERY popular Rainbow Ribbon Jell-O!
Awesome, right?

A Kindergarten Thanksgiving Story
I found this little goody in Savannah's backpack yesterday...

As Interpreted by the Author:
Being a pilgrim girl is hard!
I had to put
on layers of clothes and I
only got to play with my friend once today.
We always win. My friend
is getting better at the game.
I have to make my
bed. When my bed
is made I go and
get dressed. On the May
Flower I could only bring
one pair of clothes. Half of
the people died on the May
Flower. It was very tight
at night time. My brother
made it. Actually my whole family
made it. My brother and
my dad helped to make
the houses. All the men
made the houses. my brother's
name is Will. My dad's
name is Rod. My dad
is nice. My mom takes
care of my little sister.
I have to milk the goat.
Good work Savannah!
We can't wait for you to write more stories!

Snuggly Sisters
Last night, I caught these 2 cuties snuggling in the crib...
Apparently, Lila told Savannah she would scream if Savannah didn't snuggle with her. Lila's good at getting what she wants.

Boxes O' Fun
My mom recently shipped 3 huge boxes of goodies from my grandmas to me (china, crystal goblets, vases & more).
Needless to say, my house is now covered in packing peanuts and bubble wrap.
A good box just never fails for some serious fun!

Future Gymnast
Savannah & Will are in gymnastics right now, and Lila loves to tag along and watch.
She has recently taken up wearing Savannah's leotards, in hopes that one of the coaches will let her join in on the fun.
Lila can't wait until she's 3 so she can be an official gymnast.
Here she is in her borrowed leotard, making her current favorite face.

No More Nail Biting
Since Will's nail biting habit has gotten pretty intense, Rod & I have had to call in reinforcement to help him stop...
His teacher reminds him at school to "make a better choice".
Lila yells, "Will! Manners!" when she catches him.
And Savannah carefully applies "Thum" (yucky tasting stuff) to Will's nails in the morning:
We love you, Will & we just know you can quit!!

A Little About Lila
I wish wish wish I could keep this one just like this forever:
I L-O-V-E 2 year old Lila.
She is just such a funny, smart, adorable littler person (although I am a little biased...)
Lila is my little helper & loves to follow me around while doing my housework. She especially enjoys cleaning the windows & sweeping the floors.
Lila is very social, but she's also very independent and is really good at entertaining herself.
She adores her baby dolls as well as anything her big brother and big sister are playing (pet shops, dinosaurs, polly pockets, cars).
She's pretty much fearless & really quite tough. She holds her own on the trampoline with all the big neighborhood kids.
She's a big talker & I cracked up recently when she told me she wanted to go on a nicpic (instead of a picnic) and when she wanted to eat ubleslunch (instead of lunchables).
Lila loves to kiss me on my cheeks and to rub noses with me.
She's a pretty good little shopping companion.
I love her cute hair, her juicy lips, her darling dimples, and her sweet brown eyes. I love her cheesy grin that shows off her missing tooth. (Which I've never had the heart to write about. She lost it while climbing out of her highchair about a year ago!)
Lila LOVES school (she goes 2 days a week) and LOVES nursery. She talks about her friends a lot, especially Charlotte, Eleanor, Coco Bear, and Anna Cake (Anna Kate). '
She's a good little eater and asks for "Some Bunch of Oats" almost every morning.
She loves to snuggle (especially with her Daddy) and can't sleep with less than about 20 stufffed animals in her bed.
Thanks, Lila, for being my little Cutie!

Zoning Out, Hinze Style
I had to laugh (& grab my camera) when I saw this picture of my kids zoning out to an afternoon showing of Super Why...

Their positions are all so telling of their personalities...
Savannah on her head (she can't stand to sit still!)
Will biting his nails (of course)
Lila flat on the ground (she refuses to nap, but sometimes her little body just needs a break!)
Cute kiddos.

What Kind of 4?
Tomorrow is Will's 4th Birthday!
Will has 2 good friends, Henry & Peter, who are already 4.
Henry is really tall. Peter is less tall.
Will has been telling me, "Henry is the BIG 4. Peter is the LITTLE 4."
Will has also been telling me that he doesn't know yet if he is going to be the BIG 4 or the LITTLE 4.
We're going to find out tomorrow.

Date with Daddy
Lila is very in love with her Daddy these days. She talks about him all the time & just can't seem to get enough.
Rod recently took her out on a special date. Lila was so excited to tell me, "No Savannah, No Will, No Mommy...Just Lila" and she was even more excited to tell me about the pink ice cream.

Will
I had to take a picture of Will today, because I almost didn't recognize him. Will absolutely loves loves loves green & completely insists on wearing green every day. So, I was completely surprised when he pulled out this shirt from the back of his closet.
When I asked him what he was doing without any green on, he assured me that he remembered to wear his green underwear!

On another note, I was in charge of Will's school snack again today. I searched high & low for a healthy cookie recipe (using whole wheat flour & honey) & had fun cutting out the kids' names.

When I picked up Will from school, he immediately declared, "Mom...I TOLD YOU we should have made regular sugar cookies..." Turns out the healthy cookies got a HUGE thumbs down for taste from the entire class. Such a bummer...at least they were cute!
