She loved reading her stories to the family (which are re-creations of books read by her teacher) & we all got some pretty good laughs. (Especially out of translating words like koocese/cookies, myezic/music, and prfikt/perfect!)

Olive the Other Reindeer
(As interpreted by the author)
Olive was listening to
some music. Olive heard
the music say Olive
the other Reindeer.
Olive heard that song
over and over again.
So Olive went to the
North Pole. There, Olive saw
Santa Claus and all of the elves.
The elves were helping
the reindeer, but when
they went, gumdrops
fell from the sky! And
then flutes fell from
the sky. But, right before
Santa Claus was ready
to go, Olive remembered
she loved to fetch,
and before Santa Claus repaired
the sled Olive fetched
the flutes, and then Santa Claus
and the reindeer
got stuck in the fog.
And then Santa Claus remembered
that Mrs. Claus was
making cookies. Santa Claus
asked Olive if she
could smell them. She
said yes.

Moosletoe
(As interpreted by the author)
Moosletoe was getting
ready for Christmas.
Mrs. Moose and the
kids were sleep.
Moosletoe was getting
ready for Christmas.
First he had to put
up the lights. Next
he had to cook. He
roasted a goose. He
melted marshmallows.
He looked through cook
books. Next he decorated
the house from the
top to the bottom.
Next he goes shopping
'til he falls to the
ground perfectly perfect.
Next he is done.
Good work Savannah! As always, we can't wait for more!!
