For quite some time, Savannah has been VERY anxiously awaiting "Pajama Day", where she would be able to wear her pjs, watch the Polar Express, and drink hot chocolate at school.
Savannah saw some pajamas on-line at The Children's Place and asked if she could get them for the special occasion. So, the evening before pajama day, I called over to The Children's Place to ask if they had the pajamas in stock. The clerk told me she had them, but the store had just closed (8:00) so she would hold them for me until the next day.
Disappointed, I told her not to worry about holding them because tomorrow was pajama day at school, and tomorrow would be too late to buy them. The clerk was completely compassionate, said she hadn't closed out her register, and offered to open the doors for me if I could get there soon. So nice! I was over there in a jiffy...but the pajamas weren't the same pair that Savannah had seen on-line. I bought them anyway, figuring Savannah would like them just as well.
Unfortunately, Savannah didn't like them at all (which is weird--she's usually not picky).
So, I called The Children's Place on the other side of town, which didn't close until 9:00. The clerk said she would hold the pajamas for me. So, I raced over but arrived at 9:02, and the doors were locked. I knocked and, once again, explained to the clerk that tomorow was pajama day. Thankfully, the clerk had a kindergartener too, understood all about pajama day, and unlocked the doors with a smile. Hooray for nice sales clerks!
So, here's Savannah (looking like Cindy Lou Who) in her favorite new pajamas...
And here are my three kiddos at Costco, going totally-crazy-nutso over these stuffed tigers. I was kind enough to bring home the huge stuffed horse last year...I just don't think I can handle the tigers. I think it's hilarious that my kids love stuffed animals so much. They never get enough.
Daily Reports:
Savannah - I helped mommy make dinner.
Will - I've been working so hard at gymnastics that I moved up a level.
Lila - I had fun with Lucy & Anna Kate at school today.
