Art School

Savannah's favorite summer activity has been Art School with Sarah (who just happens to be one of our very favorite people!)

She calls it "The Ugly Project: Celebrating your child's unique gifts with Sarah Briggs" and here are her notes on the project:

"Being as blessed as I am to have found success as an artist, I wondered and prayed how I could give back when the idea of this project came to me. Coming from years of working with children and from a family of 13, one of my greatest passions is working with kids. It is so exciting to see what they create and even more rewarding to help them build confidence in what makes them different. As a child I never made anything how it was "supposed" to look and I believe that is what has given me an edge in my industry. I want to find and encourage the quirks each child has; enhancing and broadening our perception of what art is. The more unique the better. The UGLY-er the better!"

Sarah is incorporating all sorts of explorative art...ceramics, painting, drawing, gardening, cooking...and Savannah just can't get enough.

Thanks, Sarah, for the good times and for being so good to my Savannah!!
