Uncle Aaron & Aunt Brooke

We had so much fun in California this summer, spending time with my amazing brother, Aaron & his completely wonderful wife, Brooke. They are so patient & good with my kids. A couple of days ago, Rod told Savannah he was going out to run some errands. Savannah had a complete meltdown because she was convinced he was going on a run to Uncle Aaron's house & she wanted to go too!

Uncle Aaron's tradition of taking Savannah on a canoe ride is always a highlight of our California trips:

I love to go along on the canoe rides too, because Aaron takes charge & does all of the work! He paddles & provides a listening ear while I talk his ear off, enjoy the scenery & feed the ducks. How indulgent!!

Aunt Brooke's guitar playing brings fun & relaxation to our family gatherings. We love it!

Brooke & Aaron invited us over to their house the evening before we left California, for our "last hoorah". They are pros at whipping together fresh, healthy, delicious meals (Chinese Chicken Salad this time) & we love to play games with them afterward. The kids had a blast at their house, as Aaron brought out his big "box o' junk" & let them have at it. Thanks for the good time!
