On Memorial Day, we spent 6 hours at the neighborhood pool.
We had such a great time relaxing & just being together.
Rod showed off some serious moves on the diving board
Savannah worked on her swimming skills
Savannah, Dre & Ciena had a tea party
At the end of the day, I pulled out a box of grapes. I had to laugh when Savannah, who was sitting on my lap, began peeling her grapes. I was instantly transported to my own childhood...remembering long, lazy summer days...days when there was absolutely NOTHING better to do than PEEL GRAPES. I love it.
It's just beyond joyful to see my children experiencing life & to re-live some of my own childhood moments through them.

there's nothing like the up pool. i get nostalgic whenever i take anna to the zoo. i remember going to the dallas and fort worth zoos and i love seeing her get excited over the same things i did as a kiddo.
Wow Rod-- those are some sweet moves. I'm thinking diving could be your thing!
And Jen, I never knew people peeled grapes... I'm going to try that next time I'm at the pool! :)
every time i drive by the up pool, i look for you guys at your home away from home.
Love the action shot! But seriously, how many times did he have to flip before you caught it perfectly?
