YEE HAW!!!!!!!!!!!!

So the giant pretend horse was a DEFINITE hit!!!

The kids named him Snowflake (so cute, considering our White Christmas!)

My bedtime conversation with Savannah tonight...

S: Mom, when I look at Snowflake, he makes me think of how much I want a REAL horse.

M: Oh, Savannah, I know how much you love horses, and someday, I'm sure, you will have a real horse. But horses are very expensive & they are a lot of work. So, for now, let's just really enjoy Snowflake.

S: But Mom, what if I find a horse in the wild instead of one that's for sale?

M: Well, Savannah, the problem with wild horses is that they are wild. You need a horse that is already trained & safe for you to ride.

S: But Mom, what if I find a horse in the wild that's already trained?

M: Well, Savannah, I suppose if you find a horse in the wild that's already trained, we can talk about it.

Dang...I bought the pretend horse in hopes of thwarting Savannah's real puppy desires...I didn't anticipate having to thwart off real pony wishes too!

Has she ever seen the movie "Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken?" Probably too young but she would go crazy if she knew people trained wild horses... Looks like a wonderful Christmas!

That's a totally adorable story!

Sounds like she's got congenital horse craziness. There's only one cure for that, and I think you know what it is. In a few more years . . .

I love that story. Our matching horses makes me laugh. If it makes you feel any better I had hopes that Scout would stop pretending she was a puppy when we got a real one, but it is now worse. I know, kind of backwards thinking, but I'm really tired of getting bark and woof replies when I ask her a question. You are a VERY smart mom not to get a dog yet. I am NOT a very smart mom. =)
