We had a completely wonderful time.
I truly was concerned with how much "help" I would be, with my wild-woman-Lila in tow...but between an entertaining set of stairs, a VERY patient cat, and a perfectly restful crib (not to mention a truly loving aunt, uncle & cousin), Lila was a super-champ. We cooked, we cleaned, we played, we shopped, and (most of all) we enjoyed the company of good family.
We just couldn't get enough of Baby Beckett & his sweet Kansas City world. He has a fabulous mom (JoLee is calm, patient, loving, and just plain steady), a super dad (Nate somehow juggles it all...big career, big church calling, big helper at home...he's busy & happy!), a beautiful new house in a very charming neighborhood (Kansas doesn't believe much in fences, so the kids have LOTS of room to roam!) and a very cool cat (Zephyr is one-of-a-kind!)
To top is all off, Beckett is absolutely adorable and very precious.
This picture doesn't come close to capturing his complete cuteness, but here's the new man!
And here he is with his proud aunt
Lila spent enough time watching Beckett enjoying his swing (which, by the way, she never liked at her own house)...
That she was super excited to get her own turn at the action
We tried to get a cute shot of the cousins together, but this...
Kept turning into this...
(thank goodness Beckett's eyes are still intact!)
And trying to get Lila to sit still for a group shot kept making everyone laugh, like this...
Uncle Nate & Lila played hard on the Wii (another cool thing Beckett has going for him...lucky kid!)
After being tugged, pulled, and poked by Lila, Zephyr was still willing to play hide-and-seek with my baby (or perhaps Zephyr was smart enough to make Lila THINK she was playing a game with her while she was REALLY just taking a break from the abuse!)
After a couple of minor accidents, Lila finally mastered the stairs...and she (and I) obviously can't wait to come back for more. Hope to see you again soon! Savannah & Will are anxious for their turn!!
(p.s. Nate & JoLee...I'm still craving another Kansas City Hamburger!)

We had so much fun with you two! Thanks for the party. We can't wait to see you again.
You forgot to mention all the food you stocked up in our kitchen and the nice, clean basement you left us with. You're the ultimate house guest! Please, come again. Seriously.
OOoooh, that Lila has a big load of personality packed into that little body. Be ready! Also, Zephyr is the coolest name EVER for a little boy of the 21st Century. Honestly, that is one good name.
Love reading your posts, btw.
Did you finally get rid of that swing? I'm so glad.
They say girls are more work than boys and I find that hard to believe, but it would be difficult to say who has more fun, the mom or the kid. Jenn, the way you love your kids is absolutely adorable in every way.
