Texas State Fair

Even though I'm not a big fair person, life here in Dallas just isn't complete without the annual experience of visiting the Texas State Fair. It's SUCH a huge deal here (the schools even give the children a day off to attend!) and I find entertainment in joining in the festivities & traditions. The kids & I had a fun evening checking out the animals, learning about the farm, and completely dodging any & all fried food (I know it's supposed to be delicious...I just can't do it!)

That is an unusually beautiful sheep there. What a pretty face it has!

Hooray for the fair! Yeah, I agree with you on the fried foods - seriously, gross. Savvy and I "shared" a corn dog and somehow she ended up with the "dog" and I ended up with the "corny", still gross, but I guess it's tradition. Right?

Love the pictures!

Come on! You had to at least have a bite of fried something! Something that when you bite down a big stream of grease squirts in your mouth. I can't imagine why you would skip that!
