I've been getting crafty around the house lately & thought I would post some of my recent projects.
1. Made Ice Wreaths
All of our recent icy-ness led us to this quick & easy project.
I stuck with a simple Valentine theme...
While Savannah went on a backyard treasure hunt & filled hers with berries, leaves, and a few bits of trash!
2. Painted desks
Will's chose orange...
And Savannah chose ocean.
3. Made a Family Growth Chart.
I went to Lowe's & bought a pre-painted molding strip for $3 & a keychain tape measure for $2. I used my gluegun to adhere the tape measure & pulled out the kids' pediatrician records to mark their annual heights.
So fun to see how they compare through the years & nice that we can take it with us if we ever move.
4. Installed a ceiling fan
5. Hung easy-to-change pictures on a curtain rod above my computer
6. Cheered up the kitchen sink window
I picked up 4 of these cute hammered antique spoons on Etsy & stuck them in my herb pots.
I snagged some oil cloth & changed out the fabric on my boring white roller shade. I also added a little glass pull & picked up some ceramic birdies. I found a vintage glass light globe on Etsy, painted my old light fixture pink, and attached a medallion to the ceiling.
So much happier!
I couldn't resist using my leftover spray paint & oil cloth to coordinate the basket & shoe shelf next to our back door.
And, I bought the same oil cloth in orange to spice up the breakfast table.
Fun, quick, easy & cheap!
