HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAVANNAH!!!

SAVANNAH IS 5!!!!

The big day was August 12th...and it was a REALLY good one!

Savannah decided way back in April that, for her birthday party this year, she wanted to have an Easter Egg Hunt. When I told her it would make more sense to have a pool party, she quickly adapted her plan to...

An Underwater Easter Egg Hunt.

Brilliant.

Seriously, Savannah has some REALLY good ideas, and this was one of her best.

Thanks to some really fun cousins who were willing to host the party, Savannah's dream came true. She loved it. Thank you, Walters, Stephens, and Fellers, for supporting the effort! We loved spending that special day with you!

So excited, she can hardly stand it, to FINALLY be 5!

Showing off the Easter Egg Cookie Cake we made & decorated together

Diving in to begin The Hunt

Collecting the Eggs (Savannah & I filled plastic eggs with all sorts of toys & treats...some were sinkers & some were floaters)

More searching (unlike the 7-second Easter Egg Hunts we typically experience here in Dallas, the Underwater Easter Egg Hunt took some serious diving, treading, swimming & searching...at least 20 minutes of fun!)

Blowing out candles with (of coures) Little-Brother-Will ready to assist

Playing a game of "Freeze Hop" (Savannah's bunny version of Freeze Dance)

Showing off the Purple Bunny she made...

For Pin-the-Tail-on-the-Bunny, of course!

Diving into the presents :)

Savannah, as hard as it is to believe you're already 5, it's even harder to believe there was a time when you weren't in my life. Being your mother is the best job ever. I love to be with you, and I love to learn from you. You have a passion for life that amazes me every day. You are fun, kind, creative, and so so happy. Thank you for being exactly who you are. I love you more than you will ever know (at least not until you have a child of your own!)

Happy Birthday Savannah!!

Jenn,
I love your birthday party theme. It reminds me when Payson turned 5 we did a haunted house/swim party. Payson's birthday is in April, but it was a big hit!
