Since reverence during church is a continual struggle for the Hinze family, Rod decided to focus on the issue last night during Family Home Evening. He told the kids he would take pictures of them doing activities that are appropriate during our weekly Sunday meeting. Mommy's in charge of making a "quiet book" for church, using the pictures we took.
Here's what they came up with...
#1 - Folding Arms & listening to the speakers

#2 - Reading Books

#3 - Coloring

#4 - Playing quietly with toys

#5 - Eating quiet snacks

#6 - Singing the hymns

Even if it doesn't work, at least we tried...
and it sure left us with a cute photo shoot!

I found this post hilarious! I hope the reverence book works. You'll have to do a follow-up post and let us know.
And Anna is still asking to see Savannah as batgirl every day. See ya Friday!
Too cute! What a great idea to take pictures of them doing reverent things. I'm sure they loved being little models for your pictures, and it will definitely help them remember better! (well, you can hope so, anyway...!)
That is a great idea. If it works, let me know. Reverence is an issue with us as well, although getting better. I am always in awe of the mothers that don't let their kids do anything but draw and the kids are great. I don't know what I would do if we didn't distract with snacks. Good luck!
Great idea!
