Arboretum Easter Egg Hunt!

Anyone who knows Rod knows that he absolutely loves a competition. Any competition. He doesn't care about the task so much as the opportunity of winning a prize (and possibly "humiliating" an opponent or two!) So, you can only imagine how excited Rod was to take Savannah to her first "real" Easter Egg Hunt. The event was held on Saturday morning at the Dallas Arboretum. The fact that temperatures plummeted down to the low 30's just in time for the hunt only added to the thrill of the competition! So, we bundled up, grabbed an Easter bucket & enjoyed a good time!

Rod & Savannah "tanking up" at the breakfast buffet, just moments before the hunt (Savannah was a HUGE fan of the mini muffins):
Rod & Savannah sizing up the competition:

And she's off! Easter Egg Hunting must be a natural instinct. Savannah knew EXACTLY what to do & she moved FAST!

We thought Savannah was going to have to sit out after nearly twisting her ankle while lunging for this blue egg, but she just kept on hunting!

A satisifed Champion! Way to go, Hinze!!

O.K. Al McCoy. Tadd & I were dying laughing at the play-by-play you were giving about "The Hunt". The apex of it all was Savannah's cat-like agility by avoiding a potentially season-ending injury. Way to go Savannah! We are glad you guys had a great Easter, but we missed you at all the Hinze festivities. Love ya!
